Webinar: Novel drug surveillance sources and current drug trends
Presented by Parachute in collaboration with the Canadian Association for Poison Centres and Clinical Toxicology and Toxicovigilance Canada, this webinar featured experts from two drug surveillance programs: Street Connections of Winnipeg Regional Public Health, a comprehensive mobile harm reduction program, and the National Wastewater Drug Surveillance (NWDS) initiative of Health Canada, an interactive public dashboard that explores the presence of drugs in wastewater. Participants heard an overview of each program, including their surveillance methods and data sharing practices, followed by information on current drug trends. Participants also learned how they can stay informed by accessing reports, surveillance data and drug alerts.
